Blah & updates

The girl who is making my Gwendolyn costume seems to be taking her own sweet time..
She's a nice girl, nontheless..but I have a feeling she's slacking. A lot. It's really alright though..
I don't need the costume for quite a while actually, and I still need the wig and the spear =.=

She sent me a couple pictures..they're a little dark, but oh well.

The tiara/head feathers:
The crown isn't green..but it's a metallic gold, so the lighting makes it look green xD pretty though huh?! The stand it's on isn't part of it btw.

The leg armor:

Pretty good looking. Now all I have to do is get some black stockings to wear under these =3

I think I'm going to make the spear by myself..well, with help from my grandad, but I really need some fucking advice on how to make it xD

I can post as many times as I want DAMNIT!

#1 - Luci got some duds
DUDS man xD clothes.

They're a little too modern for her..but the outfits I want are too expensive at the moment, so she's gonna have to suck it up and look like a normal person for a day, sheesh!

#2 - Tetsuya's head has arrived!

That sounds weird..but really, It has.

I decided I wanted to pay for his body separately from his head..because, well..I didn't have enough money to buy the whole damn thing. His body is on layaway though, and will be here in 3-4 months >D

He looks so plain because he needs a face up. Face ups are just like putting make up on dolls..but
it takes really talented people to do it. So I'm sending his head off to be painted by a very talented woman I met in the dealer's room at AnimeIowa.

Luci: Here, I shall show them..
Me: O.O;; No, it's okay really..
Tetsuya: Fuck, I can't see. Are Luci's boobs above my head?

#3 - I registered for Nebraskon!

Yep, at exactly 11:47 on the last day to register..if I would have waited 15 minutes I would have had to pay 35 >w< go me!

#4 - I got the job at Fareway

The manager finally got the nerve to call me back <_<;;
Now all I have to do is get some form from my school and bring it back to him, and I can start >D MONEY MONEY MONEEYYY.

#5 - I let my 9 year old step-brother play GTA San Andreas xDDDDDDD

For me, cosplay is like..
becoming another person. Like forgetting yourself for however long you put on that outfit, wig, or persona. It's carefree..life is easy then. A whole day passes in a minute, and you don't even have to do anything. We hardly did anything at AnimeIowa except go to a couple of panels..but time wen incredibly fast. It's a nice atmosphere, calm, laid back. Nerds are everywhere, but hey, that's the whole point!

You could say cosplay is an art, and you could say that some people are talented cosplayers. I've seen a few. There are even people that get paid to cosplay.

I wish I could explain why I love it so much, but the truth is, I can't.
